General Description: Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) is seeking an experienced and passionate professional with an entrepreneurial bent to serve as Vice President of Patient Services. The position is responsible for the planning and directing of all aspects of the organization’s patient services as a member of the Executive Team. Duties include: overseeing the management of patient services, medical services and health center operations with a focus on the quality of patient care and fiscal management. The Vice President of Patient Services is also responsible for providing the vision and direction for PPINK’s patient services by constantly analyzing patient needs and satisfaction as well as actively identifying and pursuing opportunities for additional services and programs. This position will oversee all PPINK health centers in Indiana and Kentucky and work closely with center management to foster a team atmosphere as well as monitor staffing levels, job design and administer performance management strategies.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing or related field with at least 10 years of healthcare management or related experience required. Commitment to the mission of Planned Parenthood is essential. Masters or other advanced degree is preferred.

Leads billing functionality, technology, and service components as determined by strategic and annual work plan goals. Work closely with the control to utilize technology to it's fullest, define front end processes, and improve payer relationships. Monitor and analyze performance of billing staff functions and activities.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years experience in medical billing operation required. Supervisory and/or Leadership experience preferred.

DONOR ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Louisville Health Center, Louisville, KY Full time with benefits (40 hours/week)

General Description:  Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky is seeking an experienced and energetic fundraising professional to fill a newly created position in Kentucky.  Under the direction of the Director of Development, this position will coordinate and support fund raising strategies throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana.  Our Donor Engagement Officer will manage a portfolio of approximately 100 donors with giving potential of $1,000 or more, providing a mix of stewardship, cultivation and asks to meet established fund raising goals.  This position will spend approximately 90 percent of time meeting and contacting donors primarily through face-to-face contact.  

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree required in related field with 2 - 5 years of fund raising experience.  Prior major gift experience preferred.  Outgoing and strong interpersonal skills.  The successful candidate will possess excellent written, oral, mathematical, interpersonal and relationship building skills.  Proficient with MS Office software

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Full-time and Part-time Nurse Practitioner opportunities available in multiple locations throughout Indiana. Join Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) as a member of our patient care team!

We are seeking qualified Nurse Practitioners to perform as independent and interdependent members of the health team to provide specialty advanced practice nursing care. Our Nurse Practitioners perform initial/annual examinations and ensure proper care and disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment with a reproductive focus in a family planning health center. Independently develop plans of care utilizing advanced assessment, knowledge, skills, teaching, and critical thinking to optimize patient outcomes. Consult and collaborate with other members of the health care team as appropriate to enhance patient outcomes across the continuum of care. Counsel and educate patients, families and health care team members. Administrative responsibilities include chart documentation, billing submissions and participation in performance improvement initiatives. Provide care in accordance with the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, collaborative agreement and established policies, procedures and protocols of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky.

PPINK strives for work/life balance with consistent working hours. We offer a highly competitive salary. Team members scheduled as full time (26+ hours per week) receive a generous benefits package, including 7 paid holidays a year and four weeks paid time off in the first year of employment. The scheduled hours may vary based on location and hours per week. Malpractice insurance is fully paid by the organization in addition to CEU allowance.

Qualifications: Requires a master's degree in area of specialty or national board certification as a nurse practitioner. Experience in family planning or women’s health preferred. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals..

HEALTH CENTER MANAGER

General Description: Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky is looking for a responsible and dedicated individual to supervise overall management of a health center site, including coaching of health center staff.  Individual monitors the quality of medical care and ensures compliance with agency protocols, policies and procedures. Manager is responsible for performance of the health center, including achievement of patient number goals, productivity standard goals and health center donation goals.  Individual performs direct patient care duties as part of their everyday responsibilities, including performing laboratory testing (Hct, urine dipstick, PTs, B/P, wt, blood drawing), specimen handling and processing, reporting and follow-up of Pap smears, blood work, GC, CTT, herpes testing, and other diagnostic tests as indicated without supervision.

Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma, or experience equivalent, with 2-4 years of experience and appropriate training as specified in the health care field or in a related area. Management experience preferred. Should be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks and works under general supervision. Spanish speaking preferred but not required.

Communications and Marketing Communications and Marketing

The Communications and Marketing department promotes Planned Parenthood’s mission and services through proactive media strategies and patient outreach and engagement. Volunteers and interns may manage social media platforms, assist in publication writing, and help plan and implement statewide promotional campaigns.

Development

The Development department promotes the organization's mission and fosters community ties through donor relations and events. Volunteer opportunities may include tasks such as helping with mailings or special events projects.

Development is also seeking a Special Events Intern with strong multi-tasking and communication skills to assist in all areas of event planning, including mailings, writing, database management, solicitation and vendor coordination.

Education

The Education department teaches comprehensive sex education, family planning, STIs, and how to talk to people of all ages about sex, among other things. Education volunteers and interns are needed for tabling at fairs/exhibits and providing clerical support.

Public Policy/Advocacy

The Public Policy and Advocacy department is the political voice of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky and is focused on protecting reproductive rights for Hoosiers. Volunteers and interns may track bills during legislative session, implement on-line campaigns, design info graphics, and conduct research.
