Communications Coordinator Full time (40) | Administrative offices * General description: Responsible for communicating key messages to all audiences with cooperation with the Communication and Marketing, Advocacy and IT departments. Manager of Revenue and Finance Full time (40 hours/week) | Administrative offices * General description: Responsible for managing the general accounting function and revenue cycle at Planned Parenthood of Indiana. Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements. Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting and revenue cycle processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Prepares, examines and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, balance sheet and other financial reports to access accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience along with 3-5 years accounting and medical billing experience with a strong understanding of medical billing coding, Medicare rules and regulations, Medicaid, private health insurance, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requirements and record retention compliance. Certified medical coder preferred. Specific experience with accounting principles, medical billing and accounting and billing software desirable. Reproductive Justice Activist Part time (hours vary) | Various locations Are you ready to take ownership of what happens in your community? This internship can be done on-campus, as a distance learning internship for course credit or in a volunteer capacity to put on your resume. Special Events Intern Part time (20-25 hours/week) | Administrative offices * Responsible for assisting in the planning and coordination of Planned Parenthood of Indiana’s 2010 Gathering of Goddesses and Gods event to be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010. This intern will assist in all areas of event planning, including mailings, writing, database management, solicitations, auction and vendor coordination and various other logistics duties. This is a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience planning a major event for approximately 650 guests. Web Intern Part time (15-20 hours/week) | Administrative offices * General description: This position will assist in the development and maintenance of agency websites. Essential duties include: work with IT staff to develop and maintain website functionality; work collaboratively with agency staff in designing and developing website content; communicate effectively with IT and other agency staff regarding status of tasks and projects; attend meetings with supervisor and other agency staff; manage and prioritize work flow effectively.
