Donate Now!: Giving Options
When you give to Planned Parenthood of Indiana, you may direct your donation so that your gift does the work you want it to do. The options listed below all contribute to our general medical, educational, and administrative operations. Review these options and then go to our online form – or view the information about donating to the Planned Parenthood Advocates of Indiana or Advocates PAC to help us ensure reproductive freedom in Indiana.
Planned Parenthood of Indiana (PPIN) is a 501(c)(3) organization and gifts are tax deductible. Gifts may be designated to any of the funds below. Any undesignated gifts will be directed to PPIN’s annual fund to support general operating efforts. Checks may be made payable to Planned Parenthood of Indiana or PPIN.
Annual Fund (general operating) covers the basic, day-to-day operating expenses of PPIN, including salaries, infrastructure, property management and maintenance, finance and human resource functions.
Sara and Albert Reuben Partners in Health Education Fund (SARPHE Fund) supports programs like Peer Education and other community-based initiatives enabling PPIN to ensure that Hoosiers of all ages receive sexual health information in an honest, open and non-judgmental way.
Deborah J. Simon Advocacy Council supports the ongoing public policy advocacy efforts of our organization. It will ensure that our collective voices are heard so Hoosiers, especially those most in need, will continue to have access to reproductive health care and education. Click here to learn more.
Women’s Health Fund (WHF) is a restricted fund that directly helps women and men in need receive prevention-focused medical services such as exams, birth control, and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases at our health centers across the state. The WHF also assists patients with the cost of potentially life-saving cervical procedures: colposcopy, cryotherapy and LEEP. No funds are used for administrative costs or abortion.
Abortion Fund (AB Fund) was established to help defray the costs of an abortion for low-income patients who lack the resources to pay. Because no federal or state monies can be used to pay for an abortion, this is often the only option for financial help.
Pledge-A-Protest - Frequently on Sundays and on most holidays, anti-Planned Parenthood activists stage protests outside the homes of PPIN staff members or supporters. They carry graphic banners and conduct what they call a public "rebuking" of staff and friends who support our work. Click here to make a Pledge-A-Protest donation today and help PPIN prevent unintended pregnancy and the spread of disease, and reduce the incidence of abortion.
Sanger Endowment - This fund comprises several endowed gifts made over the years to ensure that preventive health services and education programs are available for those in need for future generations. In keeping with the intent of the original donors, the Tapestry of Strength, Sanger, Kay Asher and Barbara Maves endowments were all brought under the Sanger Endowment in 2010. Earnings from the combined endowment may be distributed to the Women’s Health Fund and used to support annual operating costs for the Sara & Albert Reuben Partners in Health Education Initiative. Support through this endowment ensures that all Hoosiers for generations to come will have access to high-quality preventive health care and educational programs.
All contributions to Planned Parenthood of Indiana are tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law. Planned Parenthood of Indiana is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. PPIN does not sell or exchange our donor’s names with other organizations.
