We live in a busy, fast-paced society. Many of us are overwhelmed by day-to-day activities such as going to work, going to school, transporting the kids to soccer games and gymnastics classes, taking care of the household finances and keeping up with the daily cooking, cleaning, shopping, and tending to the needs of our friends and families. We barely have time to keep up with the local news let alone spend any quality time researching and understanding the contemporary issues we face as a society.
