Thoughtful Reflection

Take a second and think about the kinds of reading materials your child likes to read. How would you characterize those materials? Do you agree with the messages they send about sexuality?

When was the last time you asked your son or daughter about an article they read in a magazine or a news article that was covered in your local paper? Talking about current events and articles can give you a way to initiate a conversation with your child.

Given that magazines and newspaper articles may not provide full and detailed information about sexual health topics, what can you do to ensure that your children have comprehensive information about sexuality?
