PPIN has several health centers located throughout the state that offer thousands of Hoosier women access to affordable and vital preventive health care and treatment. Routine gynecological care is important in preventing illness and discomfort. Yearly and routine care allows for early detection of cancers of the breast and cervix, which is when they are more treatable. Also, routine care helps to detect sexually transmitted infections and other conditions that may not have symptoms before they can cause serious damage. People from all walks of life—young, old, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, heterosexual, sexually active or not sexually active—need to take good care of their reproductive health!
