80s Prom to Promote National Condom Awareness Month
The 80s are going to be alive and well Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Talbott Street thanks to Planned Parenthood Young Leaders (PPYL). PPYL is hosting its third annual 80s Prom in honor of National Condom Awareness Month from 8 p.m. – midnight.
The night includes 80s inspired décor and music and features contests for best costume, dance moves and more. Guests will also not want to miss the now-famous "Wearing a Condom Isn't a Drag" drag show. The Nuvo VIPPYL Lounge will also offer complimentary 80s hair and makeup to current PPYL members.
"The PPYL 80s Prom will be just the right combination of big hair, bangle bracelets, shoulder pads and 80s catch-phrases," said PPYL Advisory Board Member Lauren Buford. "Guests will learn about real health issues impacting our community, while supporting Planned Parenthood's mission to educate, advocate and provide accessible health services. It's a good time for a great cause."
Prom tickets can be purchased at the door for $15.
PPYL is a group of young professionals who convene regularly to socialize, network and learn more about ways to support the mission of Planned Parenthood of Indiana.
